In today’s educational climate, the well-being of educators isn't a luxury—it's a leadership imperative. In this inspiring and practical keynote, Dr. Tina H. Boogren draws on the groundbreaking work she co-authored with Dr. Timothy D. Kanold in Educator Wellness: A Guide for Sustaining Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Social Well-Being to empower leaders to place wellness at the center of their school communities.
With her signature blend of heart, humor, and evidence-based insight, Dr. Boogren invites leaders to reflect on the four dimensions of wellness—physical, mental, emotional, and social—and their direct connection to staff effectiveness, student achievement, and teacher retention. DCSD leaders will explore actionable strategies for embedding wellness into daily leadership practices, modeling sustainable habits, and creating a climate where educators feel seen, supported, and energized.
This session will introduce participants to Google's Gemini and NotebookLM, explaining what they are, how they differ, and how they can be used safely and effectively to support teaching tasks and streamline workflows. Participants will leave with practical ideas they can implement immediately and a foundational understanding of responsible AI use in education.
In this session, school leaders will explore state-level data visualizations, analyze trends, and begin strategizing their school improvement plans based on key insights and performance metrics.

This session is designed to be practical, empowering, and deeply relevant to the challenges school leaders face today. Participants will leave with a customized leadership wellness action plan—and the tools to help their staff not just survive, but truly thrive.
