Leading Boldly: Strengthening Campus Systems for High-Quality Math Instruction

Effective mathematics programs are built through intentional, bold leadership. This session will support campus leaders in exploring key components of strong math instruction and identifying their role in creating systems that support every teacher and team. Grounded in the belief that bold leaders advocate, design, empower, and act, participants will reflect on current practices and determine strategic next steps to foster a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement in mathematics teaching and learning.

Sharpening the Lens: Coaching for Rigor in Math Instruction

This session is designed to deepen leaders’ and coaches’ understanding of rigor in the context of math instruction. Participants will analyze examples of tasks and lessons to distinguish surface-level coverage from deep, conceptual engagement. Through scenarios and role-play, leaders will sharpen their ability to recognize rigorous opportunities within high quality instructional materials, reflect on coaching strategies that elevate thinking, and practice giving feedback that cultivates mathematical reasoning, productive struggle, and student discourse.
